About Us

I started making handmade soap with my family when I was about 16 years old and fell in love with the process and the creative aspect of soapmaking. Over the years, I made soap off and on for myself, friends and family and then decided to start selling soap and hand dyed fabric at small craft fairs and bazaars as well as a local boutique. In 2018 I was diagnosed with cancer, and during my journey to a healthier life, I realized that I didn't want to just make soap as a hobby anymore and that's when I decided to turn my passion of Poseidon Soap into a business. Every batch is handcrafted with the best skin loving ingredients in small batches and made with love. We are a cruelty free and mostly vegan friendly company (except where clearly noted in the very occasional dairy milk soap. Please see our FAQ page for our strict guidelines for using any dairy products) and each bar is made with organic (when reasonably possible) and responsibly harvested ingredients. We only use biodegradable glitters, sustainably sourced palm oil and natural powder additives. For colorants we only use mineral powders, fruit and vegetable powders, oxides and micas. Unlike store bought "soap", our real soap contains no harsh chemicals, dyes, surfactants, sulfates, phthalates, parabens, silicones or any other "gunk" commonly found in commercial soaps and washes. We have a cure time of 4-12 weeks and each batch is tested for quality. Poseidon Soap Company is a dream come true for me and each purchase not only supports my small business, but also the community and the world around me. We donate a portion of sales to a different non profit or cause throughout several times of the year. If you would like to nominate your favorite organization or cause for consideration, please shoot me an email: poseidonsoap@gmail.com with Donation Nomination in the subject line. While some our soaps smell good enough to eat, please don't, and remember, from our heart to yours

Love,

Poseidon Soap Company
